Concierge tailoring
There is no shop. That is the point.
A bespoke suit takes four appointments. Traditionally you drive to all four, park, wait, and stand on a box in a room full of other people’s clothes.
Arbiter runs the other way around. The tailor brings the cloth books, the tape and the pattern to your conference room, your living room, or the club — usually before the workday starts or after it ends. What you save is not the drive. It is four hours of your calendar, and the sense of being sold to.
Everything a storefront’s overhead would have consumed goes into the cloth and the hours instead.

Each one happens where you are. You leave every visit knowing the date of the next.
Consultation
Cloth books come to you. You talk through how the suit will actually be worn — courtroom, closings, a wedding, August — and settle on cloth, cut and lining.
About one hourMeasuring
Twenty-eight measurements plus a posture read: how you carry a shoulder, whether one hip sits higher, where the arms hang at rest. A paper pattern is drafted from this and kept.
Same visit, 30 minutesBasted fitting
The suit returns held together in white thread with no finishing. It gets chalked, taken apart and re-cut. This is where fit is actually won, and it is included.
Week 5–6Delivery
Hand-cut buttonholes, final press, last check on your feet at your office. Your pattern stays on file — the next suit skips straight to a basted fitting.
Week 10–12The cloth
Wool that survives a Tampa August.
Most suits sold in Florida are cut from cloth designed for London — 300 grams and closed at the weave, so it traps heat and holds damp. These three don’t.
High-twist worsted
The everyday answer. Tightly twisted yarn in an open weave: it moves air, and it comes out of a car without a crease down the thigh.

Fresco & hopsack
Coarse, dry, porous enough to hold to the light. Rumpled up close and immaculate at ten feet. The traditional hot-climate cloth and the most durable thing here.

Irish linen
It wrinkles, and that is the point — linen is meant to look lived in by noon. Cut half-lined with a soft shoulder for weddings and anything outdoors in July.

What’s included, without asking.
A bespoke suit should not come with a list of surcharges. These are not upgrades here.
Every fitting
Three minimum, more if the suit needs them. Nobody is counting visits against you.
Re-cutting
If the basted fitting shows a problem, the suit comes apart and gets cut again. At no charge, because that is the job.
Travel inside the bay
Tampa through Sarasota. Early mornings and evenings included.
Your pattern, kept
Stored and updated as your body changes. It is yours; you can have a copy.
A year of alterations
Waist, sleeve, hem. Weight moves, and the suit should move with it.
An honest quote
Priced in full before cloth is cut. The number does not move afterward.
What it costs
Priced by the cloth, not the label.
There is no premium for being difficult to fit, and no discount for being easy. What moves the number is what you choose to have it cut from.

What people ask first.
How much does a custom suit cost?
Two-piece bespoke suits start at $3,200 and move up with the cloth. You get a full quote before anything is cut, and every fitting is included in it — there is no charge for re-cutting a suit that isn't right.
How long does it take?
Ten to twelve weeks from the first appointment, across four visits. Once your pattern is drafted and on file, a second suit takes about six weeks and skips straight to a basted fitting.
Do I have to visit a shop?
No. Arbiter is concierge only. Measuring and every fitting happen at your office, home or club, anywhere in Tampa Bay, including early mornings and evenings.
What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure?
Made-to-measure adjusts an existing factory block to your dimensions. Bespoke drafts a paper pattern from scratch for your body, cuts a hand-set canvas, and corrects fit across multiple basted fittings. The second one is what happens here.
What fabric actually works in Florida humidity?
High-twist worsted between 230 and 260 grams, open-weave fresco or hopsack, and Irish linen — all woven loosely enough to move air. The 300-gram cloths most suits sold here are cut from were designed for a northern winter.
What if I've never had anything made before?
Most first clients haven't. The first appointment is a conversation, not a sale — you look at cloth, ask questions, and decide afterward. Nothing is measured or ordered unless you want it to be.
